Position - Installation Technician

What you will do:
In the role of Installation Technician your primary responsibility is preparing for installation projects, as well as installing commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations. You will handle any deficiencies in the equipment setup, analyze issues and refer to schematic diagrams to support the installation of the equipment. The installation Technician is able to work quickly and effectively, minimizing time on site, resulting in faster service so the equipment can be up and running as soon as possible.
What you will be doing:
- Install and troubleshoot commercial kitchen equipment
- Support the installation project plan development process and prepare for scheduled installs
- Diagnose faults, analyze issues and refer to schematic diagrams to install and start-up equipment
- Work directly with our customers and other stakeholders at their various locations
- Maintain constant communication with service team members via phone, in-person and email
- Assist with other tasks during downtime, such as supporting other technicians, parts pick-up or warehouse support
- Report service call outcomes in our ERP system
What you will have:
- High school level education or equivalent experience. Experience working in the food service industry is an asset.
- Valid Gas Fitter License is an asset
- Valid Driver's License with a relatively clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with strong problem solving skills and the ability to defuse challenging situations
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Construction related experience is an asset
