Key Food Equipment Services is an industry leader in providing technical service repairs for commercial food equipment. We are always hiring in western Canada. This current job ad is for a permanent, full-time, Commercial Appliance Service Technician to join our team to service the Metro Vancouver area.

Whether you're an equipment Service Technician now, or you're interested in entering this field, this may be the right fit for you. The position services commercial cooking equipment, including: servicing and refurbishing commercial gas, steam, and electric food equipment such as: coffee machines, toasters, slicers, ranges, fryers, steamers, and combi-ovens.


  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of commercial kitchen appliances (gas, steam, electric).
  • Attend regular training and maintain working knowledge of latest industry developments.
  • Communicate with customers and office team and ensure regular maintenance of company-supplied truck.


  • Minimum 3 years of field experience diagnosing & trouble-shooting hot food equipment preferred, or willing to learn.
  • Education in appliance service, or a related field, preferred.
  • Gasfitter B certification preferred; Gas C or equivalent required, or willing to learn during training.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record required.
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills, accountable and self-driven.
  • Must be available to work overtime, and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Able to occasionally travel to work at other locations as needed, or travel for training purposes.
